Burek Class
Originating in Turkey, Burek spread throughout the former Yugoslavia and is a well-known and much-loved pastry in many European countries. Its flaky crust juxtaposes moist fillings, making it a delicious treat, and the perfect meal on-the-go. Join us for a hands-on lesson that covers:
- Making the dough and fillings
- The delicate process of hand-stretching the burek dough
- Filling, shaping and baking the burek
In this class, you will have the opportunity to make and take home both cheese/dill and beef/onion burek, made from scratch by you!
About the teacher: Laura Baciu is the founder and owner of Coco Café. A self-proclaimed ‘foodie’, her European heritage and love of travel led to a passion of learning about other cultures through food, and she shares this passion with others through Coco Café’s mission.
